Science Central got its beginning in 1987 when a non-profit was started by a group of teachers, parents, engineers, and community/business leaders who wanted to see the creation of a local science discovery center. It is currently located on the site of what once was Fort Wayne’s first publicly-run electric utility called City Light & Power. Science Central has touched the lives of over 2 million people since opening its doors and each year through attendance, programming, and outreach they impact over 140,000 individuals.
Science Central is open Wednesday through Sunday, closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with varied hours each day. Be sure to stop by and experience all the learning and hands-on opportunities that they have to offer. Don’t forget our coupon for $2 off admission in the current Money Saver Magazine.
